Shawn has a passion for the marriage of technology and design. When you combine that with his entrepreneurial drive for affecting change and growing businesses, it puts him in a unique position to lead Savvy Sales and Marketing as one of a handful of sales representative firms redefining the rep model. Shawn began his career as a Certified Public Accountant working as an auditor for nine years, but quickly fell in love with the smart home automation and audio video market when he transitioned to running a specialty retail and custom installation business. During this time, Shawn completely immersed himself in the market, training with CEDIA, leading manufacturers and the Imaging Science Foundation.
After seven years, Shawn recognized that the market was calling for a new sales rep model – “The new rep model is one that is not only interested in pushing boxes, but one that provides technical and business support to eliminate the challenges presented by a fast changing market and technology.”
Today, Shawn is absolutely committed to creating value not only for brand partners, but for all in the channel including the consumer. Shawn maintains, “We must be an extension of the brands we represent and that means staying connected locally on all levels and building a community, so that education moves fluidly through distribution to the end user and new relationships get forged for expansion.”
Shawn continues his hands-on approach and is actively involved in account management, brand partnerships and community education.
